The soundtrack is out now!

Now, you might be thinking:

"Sure, the music did a perfectly good job sitting in the background and adding to the mood, but it's not exactly good listening on it's own. Why would I want to buy that exactly?"

And that'd be a very reasonable take. But there is another reason you might want to buy these inexpertly composed tracks. I'm releasing it under the CC-BY license. You can go to the Creative Commons website to get full details, and there is a license.txt file included in the download. But the important stuff is:

  • You can use any of these tracks in your own projects, as long as you credit me somewhere.

  • This includes commercial projects

  • You can modify the files however you want

I made the soundtrack for this game on my own, despite not really having any pre-existing knowledge on how to do it, because I simply could not afford a composer.

I imagine that's a very common position to be in for first time devs. So I wanted to share these tracks to give other small developers like me a way to get some cheap music without having to worry about royalties or other legal stuff.

Whether its a tiny game-jam entry, a full commercial release, a YouTube video, anything at all, all you have to do is put a little credit somewhere. (I don't mind if it's hidden, as long as it's there.)

Of course, you can just buy this to give me a little extra support if you have disposable income and like what I've been doing. That's also allowed.

I hope this is helpful for someone!
