Abject Abyss changes
Updated Abject Abyss to 1.2.0
Added key re-bindings menu to options (It has issues, I go into more detail below)
Fixed a typo on the map in Hyrdo primary (Acess changed to Access)
Fixed blurry screen in upper labs. I think. It's fixed on my system, if I'm wrong let me know.
KEY REBINDINGS
Okay, this was a heavily requested feature and I really should have had it at launch, lesson learned for next time.
The new key binding menu functions, but is very basic and has some known issues.
ISSUES:
It does not check for double ups, so you could theoretically bind every input to the same button
Does not function for controllers, only KB/M inputs accepted
The 'Reset Settings' button does not work! It was working in the dev build, but is broken in the shipping one! The individual reset binding buttons for each action work fine though. Just can't do them all at once
Only accepts a single input per action. (This also means arrow key movement no longer works unless you rebind to them specifically. Crouch previously was Ctrl & C, but is now just Ctrl, etc.)
Going into the 'controls' menu tab prevents you from selecting any of the other tabs again. Not sure why, I'm working on it. But for now, you can still back out of the options (right click, escape, gamepad face right, etc.) and then go back in for any other options
The interface is ugly. But functionality should come before form
(This update is being applied to the Demo as well, just on a delay.)
I'll continue to update and improve this system. Bare with me, it's not my area of expertise. Normally I wouldn't put a system in unless I'd worked out all the kinks, but since key bindings are so important for so many players, I figure people would rather have a janky implementation sooner rather than waiting for polish.
Thanks to everyone who's provided feedback! Positive or negative, it's all super helpful.
