3D Printer Manager changes
TLDR: I made some changes, and I need feedback I think writing software is a bit like art, you spend hours on it, making changes, checking your references, adding to it again, playing with ideas.. But then you have to step back a few paces and look at it, or with digital art, you mirror flip it, and see all sorts of issues because you've been too close to it. I feel too close to know what's right for the game at the minute, this update has been worked on for a couple of months aside from the last update. Seems when I play my dev build, I can't tell what's wrong or right with it. Please if I've done anything to screw up the fun, let me know and I'll jump on it. If something feels too fast/slow, or feels impossible, let me know. And as always, if there's something you think that would make the game more fun, post it in the discussions. I think there will be further tweaks required, but I can't "see" them on my several test playthroughs. Do you think there should be a clicker element to the game early on? Changelog
Balancing
Milestone rewards were a bit too generous, so I cut some of the payouts down.
A few of the milestones now give a small permanent income boost instead: fill every printer slot for +3%, unlock all the rooms for +2%, and hit 100 reputation for another +3%.
Fancy filaments were OP, so now they take longer to print. PETG is a touch slower, and it ramps up from there to Carbon Fiber taking about 60% longer than plain PLA. Nylon and Carbon Fiber also cost more per spool.
Workers cost more when they're busy: $15/hr base, plus $2/hr for every printer they've got running in their room.
Printers get expensive a little quicker now.
You can only push your reputation up to 40 by selling stock now, so you actually have to complete orders to get the rep achievements.
The CAD Designer unlocks a new item once a day (24 real minutes)
Prestige
Added a Prestige system. Once you've earned $1M over your lifetime you can wipe everything for a permanent income boost and unlock the speed-up button (1st prestige = 2x, 2nd = 3x, 3rd = 4x).
The prestige bonus scales as you go: the first $1M is +10%, $4M gets you +20%, and so on. It applies to both order payouts and anything you sell from your inventory.
Quality of life stuff
Added printer sort, pause, speed, and help buttons.
Quit lives in the Settings sidebar now instead of the General tab.
Fixed the worker setup guide popping back up after a worker got let go for not being paid.
Hiring a worker fee is put towards their first 5 hours, so $75 worker is basically free for 5 hours and you won't go broke if you've spent your last $75 on a worker..
