Repeated intro
Hello, Colorists!
Extracted changes
- Gameplay
- Balance
- Events
After a period of closed development and a lot of valuable feedback from our Playtest players, we’re excited to finally announce that the new Demo for Rainbow Legends is now live!
This update isn’t just a small content drop — it’s a major milestone version.
Many of the core systems are now much closer to their final form, and the overall amount of content and polish has increased significantly compared to previous builds.
In this Demo, you’ll be able to experience:
The full first chapter
New and experimental events, relics, and enemies
Updated board mechanics and character systems
And one… system that we already suspect might get completely abused by players
Enough rambling — here are the highlights:
Old Friend: Mage (Blue)
A spellcaster focused on duplication, chaining, and multi-hit attacks.
In this update, the Blue Mage remains our recommended starting class for new players.
We’ve made some adjustments to card descriptions and numbers, but the overall playstyle remains the same.
Converts mana into sustained damage
Triggers card effects multiple times for massive scaling
Perfect for players who enjoy “doing the math” and watching numbers explode
Newcomer: Tyrant (Pink)
For this update, we’ve reworked the Tyrant’s visuals to better reflect her playstyle —
wide-area attacks, rapid territory control, and extreme use of military units.
Deploys “Units” to unlock special mechanics
Can sacrifice troops for devastating attacks
A high-risk, high-reward class built around hard decisions
She’s very powerful, but every move requires careful planning.
Full Chapter One Now Available
The Demo now includes the full first chapter, featuring:
Complete stage progression
New enemies, events, and relics
Brand-new elite encounters
Card balance changes based on Playtest feedback
Overall pacing is now much smoother and closer to our vision for the final game.
Narrative Content (Blue)
Completing a full run with the Blue unlocks exclusive narrative content
Grants access to class-specific cards and a unique relic (may differ from the final release)
Other Additions
High-difficulty challenge mode
Puzzle Mode
Game Seed
Leaderboards
Completion collection
A Strange Little Feature: The Coloring Board
Yes, this is real.you’ll find a widget in the bottom-left corner of the main menu
Clear runs to earn more paint
All Demo players draw on the same shared canvas
To be honest, we have no idea what it will eventually turn into. But that uncertainty is kind of the point ovo
Final Words
Thank you to everyone who has played the demo, left feedback, or shared their thoughts with us. Every suggestion you make genuinely helps shape the future of Rainbow Legends.
