30 Days on Ship changes
Hey Castaways!
Thank you for all the feedback you’ve been sharing – it’s incredibly valuable for us. In this devlog, we want to highlight the key issues you’ve reported and how we’re addressing them. Step by step, your input is helping shape 30 Days on Ship into a better survival experience.
⚙️ Optimization & Player Comfort
One of the most common reports has been performance drops and motion discomfort during fast movements. We’re implementing TSR and DLSS – technologies that bring upscaling, frame generation, and improved anti-aliasing. The current solution sometimes left ghosting during rapid motion – and that’s exactly what we’re fixing.
📘 Early Game Path (Tutorial)
We know the beginning of the game can feel unclear and unintuitive. We’re improving the tutorial to guide players step by step through the core survival mechanics – without overwhelming you, but making sure you know what to do to stay alive.
🎮 Controller Support
We’ve seen many requests for better controller support. Right now, navigation and gameplay are primarily tuned for keyboard & mouse, but we’re working on improving controller mapping and UI navigation so that playing with a gamepad feels smooth and natural. This will take time, but it’s already on our roadmap.
🌐 Multiplayer
Many players have reported issues with multiplayer sessions. After investigating, we found the main culprit to be confusing UI, making it hard to host or join games. We’re redesigning this flow to make co-op play smoother and more reliable.

💾 Save Game
Some players didn’t even realize the game already has a save system. That tells us the feature isn’t visible or intuitive enough. We’ll be updating the UI to make saving and loading progress much clearer.
📖 Mission Log
A frequent request – and we hear you! A Mission Log will be added at a later stage of the demo. This will help you track objectives and progress without having to rely on memory or guesswork.
🖥️ UI Improvements
We’ve received a lot of feedback that the current UI is not very intuitive or informative. We’re redesigning elements to improve readability and make sure players can quickly understand what’s happening on screen.
🎵 Missing Sounds
Often reported as bugs, missing sounds are something we’re actively working on. Ambient effects, interactions, combat sounds – all of these are being filled in to make the ship feel more alive and immersive.
🕹️ Animations
While not as critical as optimization or UI, some animations looked unnatural or were glitching. We’re going through reported cases and fixing them to ensure smoother, more natural motion across characters and the environment.
Wrap-Up
Every point above comes directly from your feedback – and every single one is already in our development plan. Our focus right now is on optimization, tutorial improvements, and multiplayer, but UI, sound, animations, and the mission log are all on their way too.
Together, we’re making 30 Days on Ship a stronger survival experience – thank you for being part of it!
