Hello! We are aware there are some issues running Zombieland VR using Oculus/Windows Mixed Reality OpenXR runtimes. We are looking into these issues and hope to have an update for you very soon.

We are aware there are some issues running Zombieland VR using Oculus/Windows Mixed Reality OpenXR runtimes. We are looking into these issues and hope to have an update for you very soon.

In the meantime please run the game using Steam VR runtime to run Zombieland VR: Headshot Fever. Please see our community post 'Troubleshooting and Common Q&A' for more info.

If you launch the game and it crashes straight away, but you are using one of the OpenXR runtimes supported on your headset, there is a fix for this issue:

  • Open Registry Editor

  • Navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1\ApiLayers\Implicit

  • Delete the following two registry keys:

      • C:\Program Files (x86)\VIVE\Updater\App\ViveVRRuntime\ViveVR_openxr\ViveOpenXREyeTracking\ViveOpenXREyeTracking.json

      • C:\Program Files (x86)\VIVE\Updater\App\ViveVRRuntime\ViveVR_openxr\ViveOpenXRHandTracking\ViveOpenXRHandTracking.json
