Zodiac Mountain changes
Happy Lunar New Year!
Happy Lunar New Year, everyone.
The Year of the Horse represents momentum, speed, and decisive progress. The team will be striving to move forward with exactly that energy.
And with a new year comes a new Guardian.
One of the next Zodiac Guardians is approaching… but you’ll need to stay tuned to see when they'll be waiting at the summit of the mountain.
New Content in Development
Behind the scenes, Zodiac Mountain has received further updates aiming to improve on polish, quality, and content. The team is still working hard to ensure it meets everyone's expectations. We’ve been hard at work expanding the depth and variety of each run. Recent and upcoming additions include:
New Relics to unlock new synergies and playstyles
New Cards that deepen Yin/Yang interactions
New Events that test both strategy and judgment
Beyond combat, we’ve also introduced a major structural update:
The Mountain Map
After popular request, players will now be able to truly climb Zodiac Mountain.
The new map system allows you to see your ascent and choose your path, making each decision feel more deliberate and each step forward more meaningful.
Narrative Updates
We’ll also be gradually introducing more narrative elements throughout the climb.
These story moments will offer deeper insight into:
The Panda’s motivation and resolve
The Zodiac Guardians
The characters residing on the mountain
Zodiac Mountain has always been a diverse environment of characters, mythologies and legends. We want to ensure players can discover and explore the various stories hidden within the mountain.
Steam post image Steam Next Fest
We’ll be participating in the upcoming Steam Next Fest.
In the lead-up to the event, and throughout it, we’ll be sharing frequent updates as we polish, refine, and expand the demo experience.
If you’d like to support the project, the most helpful things you can do are:
Wishlist the game
Play and review our demo
Share it with friends who enjoy strategy, roguelikes, or deckbuilders
Spread the word to anyone interested in Chinese mythology-inspired games
Every share makes a genuine difference for a small indie project like this.
