ZED ZONE changes
Critical Fixes & Performance Optimization
- Severe Stuttering FixedFixed severe lag caused by pathfinding calculation errors, incremental updates, NPC characters, and long-term runtime, significantly improving smoothness.
- Save Data SecurityFixed the critical issue of items disappearing inside containers and added a backup mechanism; switched to saving maps on the main thread to greatly enhance save stability.
- World Generation FixResolved underground structure corruption caused by previous performance optimizations, ensuring compatibility with old save files.
- Combat System FixesFixed a fatal bug where the CAS system failed to display enemies; fixed an exploit where electromagnetic guns would fire even when holstered.
- Crafting & Loot FixesFixed issues where durability was not consumed during crafting and tools became ineffective; fixed the logic error where Motorized Zombies did not drop generators.
- Companion System FixResolved stuttering issues that occurred after hiring NPC teammates.
Gameplay Mechanics & Features
- Encumbrance System OverhaulAdded a visible encumbrance status bar; fixed the issue where weight carried in clothing was not counted towards total weight, and increased the base carry capacity limit.
- Survival Mechanism AdjustmentAdjusted negative status mechanics; basic states like thirst now consume HP but no longer cause sudden, unwarned death.
- AI EnhancementOptimized NPC response speed, reaction time, and firing rhythm; increased the threat level of hostile NPCs.
- Feature RestorationFully fixed the fishing functionality; it is now working correctly.
- Progress ManagementAdded a game progress selection feature on the main menu for easier multi-save management.

UI/UX & Interaction Improvements
- Interaction Visuals UpgradeUpgraded interaction fonts and UI for better clarity and visibility; added prompt boxes for interactive objects.
- Inventory OptimizationFixed inaccurate button positioning in the item UI; durability bars are now displayed directly on the item UI.
- Display Bug FixesFixed the encumbrance bar overflowing and obscuring buttons; fixed shelves failing to refresh visually; fixed inaccurate display of weapon attachment durability bars.
Performance Experience: Implemented a map data pre-loading mechanism to effectively reduce stuttering while moving or driving.
Crafting UI: Optimized the prompt boxes in the crafting interface.
