Hi All,

As the fundamentals of gameplay near completion, we are starting to improve the overall presentation of the game.

Here is what we have improved from the previous version:

Tutorials

In the previous version, we neglected to teach players some of the game mechanics, resulting in complaints that the game was too unfair and lacked counterplay options.

Therefore, we adjusted our gameplay and updated our tutorials based on those player feedbacks.

New players will be required to choose the "Spear" as their initial weapon to learn the game's basic controls.

"Sword and Shield" will teach players how collision works in the game and how to utilize collisions to their advantage.

"Bow and Arrow" will teach players the core mechanics of the game, including the Card Queue system, and introduce them to "Traps."

We hope the updated tutorial and game flow will greatly improve new players' experience.

Visuals

We updated some visuals in the game to enhance in-game feedback:

Dazed: Characters under the Dazed effect are forced to clear their playing queue and are unable to play any cards for the duration.

Bleed: Bleed causes characters to lose a percentage of their health every 10 seconds.

Time-Stop: Players can use Time-Stop to extend the decision-making time.

Replay is Ready!

We have struggled to make this work since the beginning. Thanks to the hard work of our dedicated engineers, the replay feature is now available in the Demo.

With this version, players will be able to watch instant replays of their entire fight.

We hope this will greatly increase satisfaction after winning each fight. :)

New Enemies

Despite our limited time, we have managed to add two new enemies to the game in this version.

The Next to Come

Visuals

We are experimenting with ways to improve the in-game atmosphere, including sounds and VFX. In the coming month, lighting effects will be added to environments and characters.

Story Mode

Story Mode will be designed as a 1000-health challenge. It will be difficult, but we aim to perfect the player experience. Although completing even one chapter of Story Mode in the next month might be challenging, we plan to add some teasers in the Duel Mode.

Enemies

Minions are almost ready. We still have 3-4 bosses left to create. Developing boss fights requires extensive iterations to meet expectations, which might take at least two months of work.

Storyline Integration

We are working on re-designing Level-Selection section to match the storyline. Both In-game environment and UIs will be re-designed to match the storyline progress. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
