Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic changes
Hi all! Long time no see. I'm continuing to work on YHVH, I've just been very busy recently and most of the changes I've made haven't been to the demo content. This patch is just to incorporate a series of smaller bug fixes I've made, bringing the public demo more in line with the game's overall progress.
Bug Fix List
Several bugs that occur if the game is restarted within the same session have been fixed.
Reviving party members with items no longer causes issues in the party viewer UI.
Crystals can no longer be destroyed multiple times if you click on them very quickly.
Turn order no longer displays defeated enemies.
Multi-hit attacks no longer cause the camera to focus on the wrong object.
An issue that caused the game to freeze during battle conversations for a small number of players has been fixed.
Fixed an issue preventing some NPCs from appearing, and causing some NPCs to disappear before the player can talk to them.
Upcoming Plans
There will be another demo patch relatively soon, fixing the last bugs in the demo that I'm aware of. After this, I intend to mostly leave the demo as-is until closer to release, so that I can focus on the development and testing of the game's content. However, once the game is content complete, there will be another demo patch. This patch will incorporate several QOL improvements that I have developed, but are still in testing and are unstable in various ways, and fix any remaining demo bugs before release.
Where have you been?
Development has continued this whole time, don't worry. I have momentarily turned my focus away from updating the demo and communications with players to focus on developing new the game's actual content. I have a day job apart from working on the game, so it's hard to both develop new stuff worth posting about, and actually post about it.
I am working on ways to take development full time, as well as communicate more consistently even without taking development full time, but some steps in this direction might not manifest until later in the year. But in the meantime, know that the game is being worked on, no matter what.
