Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic changes
0.3f is now live! The focus of this patch is a bit different from my previous plans for it, for a few reasons. The main focus of this patch is onboarding and tutorialisation. Changes include:
Damage amounts, enemy stats, the player's starting abilities, and progression have all been tweaked to -introduce game concepts more gradually, and encourage players to experiment with the alchemy system.,
Attacks which exploit the alchemy system do more damage, and are indicated with bigger yellow damage numbers, to reward tactical play.,
If the player is low on HP, Scox will appear after battle to push the player towards using Alchemy/items from the inventory screen to heal and prepare before battles.,
When talking to daemons in battle, the UI now includes a bar that indicates how close a daemon is to joining the player, and dialogue options that have been previously selected by the player are greyed out.,
There is now an 'analyse' button, which allows the player to trade 5 SP for a hint about recruiting the enemy from Scox. These changes are all intended to make conversations with daemons feel more purposeful and less random, and therefore less frustrating.,
Some sound effects have been changed to be less grating, particularly the healing effect sound.,
A lot of bug fixes.
