Update 0.4.6 introduces Yondel's first complete Armor & Equipment system, smarter inventory tools, stronger mining feedback, new display options, and a browser-based Avatar Studio. This update also includes additional rendering polish and a major collection of gameplay, interface, and co-op fixes.

Armor & Equipment

  • Added six craftable body armors: Wooden, Leather, Copper, Iron, Silver, and Golden.

  • Equipped armor now appears on your character through chest and upper-arm overlays, and it is also visible to other players in co-op.

  • Armor provides flat physical and magical damage reduction, reducing incoming damage by fixed values rather than percentages.

  • Each material has its own protection and efficiency values. In Yondel's material hierarchy, Silver armor provides greater protection than Golden armor.

  • Added a dedicated Armor tab to the Anvil, where all six armors can be forged.

  • Equipped armor is saved with your character and restored when you load the world again.

Inventory Sorting

  • Added new Smart Sort and Quantity Sort controls above the inventory grid.

  • Sorting affects only the main inventory slots, leaving your hotbar exactly as you arranged it.

  • Tools and watering cans are kept separate and are never incorrectly merged while sorting.

Mining Hit Feedback

  • Every mining strike now bursts debris colored to match the material being hit.

  • Mining targets briefly flinch on impact, making each swing feel clearer and more responsive.

  • The new mining feedback works in both single-player and co-op.

Windowed Display Mode

  • Added a new Fullscreen / Windowed toggle to the Options menu.

  • Windowed mode supports fixed 720p and 1080p window sizes.

  • Display changes are now saved only when you apply them; backing out of the menu leaves your previous settings unchanged.

Avatar Web Studio

  • Launched the companion Yondel Avatar Web Studio.

  • Build your avatar in the browser and export the finished character as a PNG.

  • The Avatar Studio is a companion website and is not part of the in-game interface.

Rendering & Interaction Polish

  • Applied additional polish to the recently added world-shadow and water-rendering systems, world objects, and related player interactions.

Update 0.4.6 makes preparation, combat, mining, and everyday item management more satisfying while improving stability across both solo and shared worlds.

Thank you for supporting Yondel during Early Access!

Bug Fixes

  • Farming: Soil no longer dries out automatically when the day changes. Water is now consumed only when a crop completes a growth stage.

  • Pause and overlay input: The hotbar and HUD can no longer be clicked through pause, options, or death overlays. An item being dragged when the game pauses is also preserved when saving and exiting.

  • Crafting grids: Closing a workbench or crafting grid with a full inventory no longer deletes items left inside; they are returned to your inventory or dropped at your feet.

  • Co-op dropped items: Items dropped for another player can no longer be instantly picked back up by the player who dropped them.

  • Co-op chests: Guest chest transfers no longer cause the chest contents to blink or lag.

  • Mob spawn floors: Cave Bats and Rock Beetles now spawn only underground, while Slimes and Imps spawn only on the surface, with Imps appearing at night. Underground mobs also no longer reload as Slimes.

  • Entity collisions: Mobs and players can no longer be pushed inside buildings, and river currents no longer force players into obstacles along the bank.

  • Co-op graves: The game now explains why a grave cannot be looted instead of failing silently, including owner-only restrictions.
