Since the Steam Next Fest demo, a lot has changed in Wrecking Wave. Based on player feedback and continued development, I’ve made several important improvements and additions to the demo.

addedDifficulty Rebalancing One of the most common pieces of feedback during Steam Next Fest was that the game felt too difficult. The demo is now more accessible and forgiving. In the future, multiple difficulty options may be added for players looking for a bigger challenge.
changedFull Controller Support The game is now 100% playable with a controller , from menus to gameplay.

Since the Steam Next Fest demo, a lot has changed in Wrecking Wave.

Based on player feedback and continued development, I’ve made several important improvements and additions to the demo.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Difficulty Rebalancing One of the most common pieces of feedback during Steam Next Fest was that the game felt too difficult. The demo is now more accessible and forgiving. In the future, multiple difficulty options may be added for players looking for a bigger challenge.

  • Full Controller Support The game is now 100% playable with a controller, from menus to gameplay.

  • 9 Playable Challenge Levels The demo now includes 9 challenge levels, designed for short, replayable sessions.

  • Campaign Progression 4 out of 10 campaign levels playable in the demo.

  • Speedrun Mode Not Available in Demo The Speedrun mode is currently disabled in the demo and will be available in the full game.

  • Major Improvements to Destruction & Animations Significant upgrades have been made to the destruction system and animations, making chaos feel smoother, more reactive, and more satisfying.

  • Performance Improvements & Bug Fixes General performance has been improved, along with multiple fixes and stability improvements, 32-Bit Support was removed.
