changedState of the Game 6 October 2024Worldsmith by Charles A. Debczak is currently in early development and still in Pre-Alpha. On a personal note, I am deployed overseas and am waiting until I get back to the States and can test the game on a different computer before I upgrade the release to "Alpha" which would be denoted by sending out keys to folks to test the game and provide feedback.
changedWhat to expect in Alpha release:The features on the Store page
changedWhat to expect in the near future leading up to Alpha release:More blocks, items, mobs, weapons, generated structures, etc. The priority right now is fleshing out the game since many, but not all, core features have been implemented. My biggest concern however is confirming that the performance is good or improving the performance if it is not good. But I can only do that when I am back in the States and can properly test the game on something that is not this shitty, non-gaming laptop I brought out here with me on this deployment.
removedA reminder of the development timelineCurrently, the game is in Pre-Alpha. When Worldsmith is ready for testers, influencers, curators, and friends of the project, it will be in Alpha. When Worldsmith is ready for an initial player-base as is available for purchase on Steam, it will be in Beta. When the game is polished and includes all planned features, it will finally be "released" and no longer an early access title.

State of the Game 6 October 2024
It's been a while since I have posted here to the Steam page about Worldsmith. I am hoping through this post to build expectations on what's to come.

This game is a passion project. Although it won't be free, I am not doing this for the money as I am satisfied by my real life employment and will likely be generous with giving out codes when that time comes.
A reasonable expectation for an Alpha release is by March 2025. We'll see if I can deliver on that expectation or not.
What to expect in Alpha release:
Bugs & glitches
No multiplayer
The features on the Store page
A bug reporting form to report bugs and glitches with a system for rewarding folks by mentions in the credits or implementation of their ideas into the game
