World of Sea Battle changes
Hotfix #3
Captains, a new hotfix has been deployed to the servers! This update includes a number of fixes and improvements affecting ships, sailing mechanics, quests, combat systems, guild systems, UI, and in-game events.
What’s New
Unique Wind Rose Update
We have updated the unique wind rose system as part of the continued development of sailing mechanics.
Some ships now have their own unique wind-angle positions that differ from the standard setup.
The main change is that ships with a standard wind rose and ships with a unique wind rose now have different optimal sailing angles relative to the wind.
This makes handling different ship types more distinctive and adds more depth to navigation, maneuvering, and tactical decision-making at sea.
On the left is the usual wind rose, and on the right is the unique one used by certain ships.
Gameplay and Combat Mechanics
Balloon speed has been returned to its previous values.
Fixed an incorrect experience calculation when capturing Imperial Forts in a group.
Fixed an issue where items could not be transferred for free via “ship-to-ship” trading.
Fixed an issue with the incorrect cooldown behavior for port defense — the +24 hours is now properly added after changing the attack window time.
Fixed an issue where Imperial Forts would not fire their cannons at close range.
Fixed the “fight for loot” mechanic — PvP protection now correctly expires when agreeing to fight over resources.
Fixed an issue that allowed players to avoid damage from hostile NPCs while staying inside an allied NPC ship.
Fixed an issue where smoke bombs could damage allies during large-scale battles.
Fixed an issue where falconets could still fire without ammunition.
Ships
Adjusted the model, size, and hitbox of the 3rd Rate ship Anson, and corrected the placement of its falconets.
Fixed the hitbox placement and incorrect flag position on the San Martin.
Economy, Trading, and Rewards
Added final price display when selecting quantity at the Overseas Trader and Pirate Shop.
Fixed an issue where two identical ships could drop from a chest during mass opening.
Fixed the display of the “Free” button for caravans in the shop — if no free attempts are available, the button now correctly shows “Buy”.
Guilds and Factions
Fixed an issue with upgrading a flotilla into a guild. It is now also possible to transfer a flotilla directly into a military faction, bypassing the trade union or pirates.
Added a notification when leaving a guild that reputation will be reset to 0.
Guild influence points invested into port development are no longer counted as a player’s personal contribution in their guild ranking.
Miscellaneous
Fixed an issue with displaying target NPCs for the “Cruising” quest.
Fixed the incorrect step order in the tutorial quest involving crossing and purchasing wood.
Added a tutorial hint if a ship sails directly with the wind for an extended period of time.
Added an “Add to Wishlist” button in the game.
Fixed an issue with the accumulation of the group consumable “Horn” and adjusted how effects from group consumables are applied.
