Working Class Monsters changes
Working Class Monsters is an ultra-casual incremental strategy game where you place monster workers, open packs, and watch the gold pile up — all to rebuild a fallen monster kingdom.
There's no failure. No punishment. Every single interaction pushes you forward.
Think Islanders meets 90s tycoon nostalgia, wrapped in a cast of monsters who are honestly just happy to be employed (I assure you).
What You'll Be Doing
🃏 Open packs — Over 45 monsters in the demo alone, plus buildings to add to your kingdom
🐉 Place workers — Put monsters to work on a grid-based map and watch the gold pile up
🌳 Skill tree — unlock upgrades and shape your strategy
👨👩👧👦 Level up monster families — five monster families to specialize in.
💰 Make gold — refine your approach, maximize your profits, rebuild the kingdom
What Makes This Different
There's no way to lose. No punishment. No stress.
Just chill out while placing, producing, and progressing — with enough strategic depth to optimize your run, if that's what you're into.
Tbh, I enjoy playing it while I chill to a podcast or TV show.
What's Next?
The demo will be available for Steam Next Fest on 23rd February 2026!
As for what's after that? I'm working hard to release the full game in April 2026.
More details will follow on that. But as of now, I'm currently working on:
Expand your kingdom & settle new lands (prestige system)
Terraforming - Are you into min-maxing? This is for you!
Promotions - They're not just your workers! They're people too! Promote and advance your best (or favourite) workers.
Along with loads of new buildings, monsters and world variations.

Thanks for being here. The kingdom isn't going to rebuild itself.
