Repeated intro
Hello, Wanderers! This is the development team of Wonderia! ✨ Here comes a small update during our Playtest — mainly focused on improving multiplayer experiences and adding a new device we’re still a bit unsure about: the Hand-crank Drill.
What changed
- Gameplay
- Server
- Maps
- Store
- Events
- UI and audio
We’d love to hear your thoughts about it (or anything else!) through Discord ✨
✨ Update Highlights: v0.2.15
🗺️ Bidirectional Map Sync in Multiplayer Now, hosts and visitors can sync each other's maps using the Map Workbench! Previously, visitors could only receive the host’s progress, while the host couldn’t view theirs — sorry for the inconvenience! 🙇 Since maps are essential infrastructure for multiplayer, let us know if anything still feels off — we’ll continue improving it.
⛏️ New: Hand-crank Drill (Experimental!) A new experimental tool that lets you mine giant rocks and copper nodes already generated in the world.
During Playtest, we’ve received many questions about “how to get more copper”. While the issue will naturally be solved later via expanded maps and powered tools, some players suggested providing an interim solution — so here it is.
The Hand Crank Drill is: Manual, not automated Slow, but can mine large ore blocks Multiplayer-friendly — everyone can help speed it up
But we still have doubts:
Is the unlock cost reasonable?
Is the experience too “grindy”?
Is this just a demo-exclusive stopgap before automation?
Let us know what you think after trying it out!
How to get the Hand Crank Drill:
In newly generated saves, you’ll find one placed outside the treetop hut near a giant copper node
Defeat the BOSS “Stonefeather” to unlock the crafting recipe (at the Construction Workbench)
Can occasionally be purchased from merchant Rohen
📌 Other Small Updates
Multiplayer reward scaling: Initial quest and BOSS drops now scale with player count
Improved hotkey hints: “Drop on Ground” now shown in the backpack UI for easier item trading
New copper sprinkler: Wider range than the cross sprinkler, available at the upgraded workbench
Building placement feedback: Capsule buildings now show footprint areas when placing
Shift modifier added: Prevents accidentally emptying containers when looting
Community access in-game: You can now find us more easily if you need help or want to send feedback
🎙️ One Last Note: Thank You for Your Voice This is a small patch — but everything here was inspired by community feedback. We know many systems — from resource gathering and building rewards to transformation pacing and combat satisfaction — are still being refined.
That’s why your voice means so much to us. If you’re willing, come by and share your experiences: Discord
We read every message. Thank you again for your support and patience 💗 We’ll keep listening — and hope to meet you again on this strange and lovely planet✨
