Dev Log #18 — The Challenge

11 days left until release. It'd be nice if everything were already finished. Unfortunately, it isn't. To keep from losing track, every day has to be carefully planned. Let me pull back the curtain a bit.

11 days left until release. It'd be nice if everything were already finished. Unfortunately, it isn't. To keep from losing track, every day has to be carefully planned.

Let me pull back the curtain a bit.

  • On four days, I work between 6 and 10 hours to earn the money that funds Where Are You?'s development. One day a week, I deliberately take off to rest.

  • In the time that's left, I set aside about 1–1.5 hours each day for the dev log and social media. That leaves somewhere between two and four hours for bug fixing, playtesting, and getting everything organized for release. That's not a lot of time.

  • Normally, I start right after work with the social posts. Bug fixes come next. If there's still time, I playtest. And if anything's left after that, it goes toward PR tasks.

So I'm never bored, and every area gets its share of attention.

This intense stretch can wrap up soon, though — specifically, the moment you're enjoying Where Are You? on your own PC.

Until then, you can help me out by sharing Where Are You? and adding it to your wishlist yourself.
