Winnie's Hole changes
What a week it's been.
We've been updating daily since launch and now we're heading into the weekend!
We've smashed through dozens of bugs this week and are finally starting to move onto quality of life improvements, adjustments and new features. The fun stuff!
Game speed options
After watching players and reading feedback we've done an overhaul on the game speed options in the Settings menu to make it easier to see what's happening on a turn. We've also renamed the speeds.
By default, the game now starts on Normal speed - we've added a lot more spacing between actions activating, repeats and enemy turns so when a combat turn plays out it's much easier to see what's happening.
We also have Fast and Faster speeds - Fast is closer to how the game was paced previously by default. Faster is for my fellow speedy hyped gamers who want everything to resolve at lightspeed.
Improvements
Neuron Activation virus strain now has spacing between the actions you captured and the actions activated by the Perk. Stlil more work to do here.
Newly completed Research Recipes now appear on both "in progress" and "completed" tabs.
Actions being dealt from the deck and discarded now have particle trails for extra visibility
Unstable mutation art hookup. You can all thank Olexa for noticing a questionable piece of art wasn't fully implemented... Enjoy! You should know it when you see it.
Swap brain ability now has a Cancel button
Bug fix
Fixed a softlock when activating a Brain Ability without moving the cursor at the start of combat
Fixed a softlock from placing a block when an enemy is fleeing.
Fixed a softlock from spam clicking an encounter after the Rabbit event
Fixed a visual issue with Bleed Everyone level 3.
Fixes for speech
Specimen event can only appear once per run
Fix Bone Plating's name
Fix for virus strains not correctly unlocking on Virus Select UI
Locked Physical action on Stunlock now has a trail
Balance
Barrier level 3 now only gives 2 Barrier
Hunger virus strain is going through design adjustments because it is too difficult! This still needs more of a rework, but we've added Feint, adjusted the Shields and made the Brain size bigger... It's still probably the most difficult strain to play and needs more attention.
