WinHack 95 v98 - What's new: the community update

  • Splicing no longer switches off that slot's auto-clickers - the Auto Splice upgrade used to slowly disarm your whole grid while idling.

  • The REFORMAT prompt is readable again: no more blurry shrunken text, and it now lists exactly what a reformat resets and what it keeps.

  • Police chase overhaul: only one veteran cop hunts you relentlessly, the rest lose interest; the squad regroups every ~20s; nobody camps the exit; guide lines really do route around cops; and the police roll is capped at 75%, so Deep Web is finally idle-able.

  • New late-game upgrade - Takedown Protocol: grab the briefcase and you get 8 seconds where touching a cop knocks THEM out.

  • Contracts pay a real ladder now ($30-60 / $90-180 / $250-500 / $600-1200), Tier 3 shows up far more often, and new offers sort to the top of the board.

  • Clicks and the scroll wheel only reach the window you are actually pointing at - no more phantom prompts from windows underneath. Clicking a corner popup anywhere dismisses it.

  • Gentler onboarding: much smaller earn-money checkpoints, faster job refresh during the tutorial, chapter progress instead of "1 / 80", and Esc no longer closes the window the tutorial is pointing at.

Playing the demo? It is now the complete game for 60 minutes per Steam account - and your saves and achievements carry straight over to the full version.
