Demo update v54 - UI fixes, tutorials, and balance changes

This update focuses on usability, progression balance, and improving the overall game flow.

Email UI fix

Previously, you had to select a reply option before being able to read the entire email. This has been fixed — you can now freely read all messages first. A scrollbar has been added to improve readability and decision-making.

New tutorial: Monthly expenses

A new tutorial introduces the Help App, specifically the section explaining monthly budgeting for rent, electricity, and internet inside the research facility. It triggers once you have earned a total of 50 dollars, as long as no other tutorial is active.

Reduced monthly costs

Monthly payments have been reduced from 250 dollars to 120 dollars. A progressive system may be added later, as these costs could otherwise become irrelevant in the late game.

Income balancing

Income from virus sales, mailing lists, and contracts has been rebalanced. Contracts now pay roughly 3x more (sometimes up to 4x), ensuring similar income per time regardless of playstyle.

Police adjustments

Fines from the criminal police have been adjusted accordingly if you get caught.

Eviction system

Failing to pay your monthly bills now results in a dedicated eviction screen, as you are removed from the facility. Previously, the police game over screen was used for this case.

Additional updates

Steam capsules for Simplified Chinese have been added.

Constructive feedback is very welcome. Is anything unbalanced? Are there bugs or new ideas for mechanics? Feel free to post in the discussions — I try to respond at least once per day.
