May 2025 - Dev Update on Final Demo

It’s been a hot minute, but we’re back with some very important updates to share with you all. So strap in, because it’s a bit of a doozy…

Let’s get the big one out of the way. As you may recall, we had promised in previous dev updates that we are looking to release the next and final Winds of Arcana: Ruination demo for the Steam Next Fest: June 2025 Edition. However, after much discussion with the team, we have taken the decision to push the Final Demo to Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition (October 13 to October 20).

This was not a simple nor easy decision for us to make. But after reviewing all the feedback we’ve gathered since the last four physical events, the IGU Steam demo (which you can still play!), content creators and our amazing community - we felt it was the right call to delay the Final Demo to October 2025. We do apologize for not being able to meet this deadline. With that being said, this new target date will give the team ample time to incorporate all the shiny new features, fixes and polish that we know will make a huge difference to our players.

Now for some good news! We’ve already internally begun testing the full version of Winds of Arcana: Ruination. While we cannot immediately comment on when the exact release date will be, what this does mean is that we are one step closer to completing the game and ensuring that the release will be sometime towards the end of 2025. This is a HUGE milestone for us and we hope to talk more about it when we get closer to the Steam Next Fest: October 2025 Edition. So be on the look out for that and news about the Final Demo.

Lastly, we just want to once again extend our thanks to the support of our community and friends. As mentioned before, we received a lot of incredibly valuable feedback from those who took the time to message or leave a comment on the Steam forums and our Discord Channel . We take the time to go through everything (and we do mean EVERYTHING) and ensure that you guys are being heard.

But while there’s no Steam Next Fest: June 2025 Edition demo, that doesn’t mean we won't have stuff to show off. In fact, we’re planning a little something special on our Discord Channel next month. So if you haven't already, do join us for the latest updates and come say hi while you’re there!
