Welcome to the latest issue of WildAssault Dev log.

This week, we’re focusing on the newly launched PVE mode in WildAssault "Feral Relic Defense Line"! Since its limited-time release in custom rooms, we’ve been thrilled by your enthusiasm. At the same time, we’ve also received many soul‑baring questions via surveys about"how to beat it"and"how to build a team."

To help you avoid unnecessary detours, this issue will transform into a"Tactics Instructor,"breaking down the core gameplay and mechanics in one go—guiding your squad all the way to Wave 6!

1、Core Objective: Defend the Position, Repel the Beast Tide!

In short, the core logic of PVE is: Defend the core, sustain through combat.

You and up to 3 teammates will drop into a fixed map and withstand 6 waves of increasingly powerful mutated beast tides. Monsters will follow set paths, escorting elites carrying"Contamination Collars"and"Behemoth Tanks"toward your home core.

Your only mission: Annihilate them all before they touch the core!

  • 🏆 Victory Condition: Survive all 6 waves with the core intact.

  • 💀 Defeat Condition: A contamination collar is brought into the core area, or a"Core‑Contaminated Tank"destroys the core.

2、New to the Mode? Three Easy Steps to Get Started

📌 Step 1: Pick the Right Squad – Everyone Has a Role

Among the 12 Fearless heroes, don’t just pick all damage‑dealers. An efficient tactical squad needs clear roles:

  • 💥 Zone Damage (e.g., Tiger, Bear): The main frontline firepower, suppressing the tide and prioritizing collar‑carrying elites.

  • 💰 Mobile Scavenger (Crucial! e.g., Meerkat, Crocodile): Note! Meerkat is now the full‑time"Finance Manager."With burrowing, tunnel traversal, and explosive abilities, it can safely navigate through bullet‑ridden zones, efficiently collecting resources across the map and securing the team’s economic lifeline.

  • 💉 Support/Controller (e.g., Rabbit, Wolf, Cat): Handles team healing, crowd control, or sniping key targets from the rear.

💡 Instructor’s Tip: For beginner squads, ensure at least 1 full‑time/part‑time scavenger + 1 support role—your overall experience will improve dramatically!

📌 Step 2: Fight & Loot – In‑Match Progression

Killing monsters drops glowing"Beast‑Soul Coins,"the only universal currency in the match, shared by the whole team (one picks up, all get rich).

After each wave, you’ll have about 60 seconds of breather. Head to the shop and press 【H】 to open the progression panel and enhance yourself:

Upgrade Recommendations:

  • Firepower (Most Practical): Reduce spread, eliminate recoil, increase reload speed.

  • Attributes (Most Survival‑focused)Boost movement speed, reduce damage taken. Special mention: "Magnetic Gauntlets" (increased coin‑pickup range) is Meerkat’s absolute core talent!
  • Skill Power (Most Versatile): Increase skill damage, shorten cooldowns, speed up ultimate charge.

  • Random Draw (Most Thrilling): Gamble for a big payoff! Spend Beast‑Soul Coins on"rogue‑like draws"for a chance at unexpected powerful attributes that can trigger instant qualitative changes. If you focus on this path, remember to invest more in"Luck"stats.

Step 3: Focus the Collar – Eliminate the Threat

Every wave spawns collar‑carrying elites with a shimmering golden glow above their heads—they are the top priority targets!

When a collar elite dies, the collar drops. If a normal minion picks it up, it will"hyper‑evolve"into an elite‑like monster in a short time, becoming tankier, dealing more damage, and continuing its advance.

💡 Pro Tip: High‑burst, high‑mobility heroes (e.g., Fox, Tiger) should"camp the corpse"after killing a collar elite. If a minion tries to pick up the collar, eliminate it point‑blank before it can transform.

3、Advanced Details – Double Your Enjoyment Once You Know!

  • ⏳Beast‑Soul Coins Wait for No One – Uncollected Coins Vanish: Dropped coins will flash red and disappear if not picked up within 30 seconds. Meerkat’s exclusive pickup‑range and coin‑gain talents greatly reduce this waste.

  • 🔄 Zero‑Cost Trial & Error – Reset Anytime: Messed up your upgrades? Want to switch heroes? No problem! During the prep phase of each wave, click the 【Reset】 button to get a full refund of all spent Beast‑Soul Coins. Experiment with different builds fearlessly!

  • 🚛 Core‑Contaminated Tank = Pure DPS Check: This thing doesn’t attack players—it only charges relentlessly toward the core. As its HP decreases, its movement speed increases, and it is completely immune to poison and fire damage! The only solution is the whole team focusing fire. If you struggle to damage it, prioritize upgrading"Firepower Projection"and"Skill Efficiency"in earlier waves.

4、Official Recommendation: A High‑Tolerance Starter Squad

For the official release, we recommend you and your teammates try the following setup:

RoleRecommendedCore Responsibility
Main DamageTigerPoint‑blank burst, prioritize collar elites
Zone FirepowerBear / SkunkSuppressive fire, skill‑based area denial
Scavenger SecuredMeerkat / CrocodileEfficiently collect coins, ensure team upgrade speed
Healer/SaverRabbitSustain healing, clutch revives

5、 Developer Replies: We Hear Your Feedback!

Since the launch of"Feral Relic Defense Line – Easy,"we’ve been closely following community discussions. All the issues you’ve raised have been documented, including but not limited to:

  • Excessively high difficulty and low tolerance for error in solo/duo runs.

  • Difficulty quickly locating "collar elites" during combat.

  • Occasionally suffering "sudden, unexplained failure" without adequate buffer mechanics.

  • Somewhat monotonous monster AI behavior.

Rest assured—the dev team is already working on optimizations and fixes for these design shortcomings. Future versions will deliver a smoother experience!

6、 Extra Tip: Weapon Recoil Recovery Toggle

Finally, a quick combat‑settings reminder:

The"Weapon Recoil Auto‑Recovery"toggle has been live for a while, but our surveys show many Fearless warriors haven’t tried it yet. We’re taking this chance to remind everyone: head to Settings and experiment with different"Recoil Auto‑Recovery"modes to find the shooting feel that suits you best—it might just take your aim to the next level!

That’s all for this week’s WildAssault dev log!
