What'Sub changes
It's time for the big submarine update!
We've designed this thing for 4 people, but theoretically there's a much higher limit on lobby sizes, so.. go wild! This update also features bug fixes for most of the commonly encountered issues. We have, however, encountered a new issue where the client sometimes doesn't load the submarine on level transition, causing them to fall into infinite void. We'll look into this on Monday (after a much needed weekend), but for now you need to rejoin the session to fix it. Sorry orz
Added the big submarine! This one should work better for larger group sizes, but also takes more coordination to maneuver.
We're still iterating on the design details of the big submarine so its layout may change slightly in the future.
The big and medium sub have their own save games, so feel free to swap between them for different group sizes!
Added visualization for submarine stats - it may look overwhelming at first, we're still working on the UI!
Fixed the shop!
Many minor tooltip improvements
When holding scrap, places to place it is now highlighted
You no longer go unconscious if the host goes unconscious
Pufferfish will no longer spawn-camp the submarine
Oxygen bottles use the correct currency icon
Tutorial objectives are more responsive
Fixed some half-broken tutorial quest objectives
Added a sign for people who get lost on tutorial island (which is kind of impressive)
Made the quest text flash. If it gets annoying we'll look for some other solutions.
Added more minor upgrades
Re-balanced all submarine upgrades with new stats (and made sure that the more expensive sub is not worse... whoops)
Improved the bolt crate and added bolts as a purchase-able from vending machines
Fixed oxygen. You will now drown if your submarine runs out, and the drain is paused while docked.
Made harpoon less likely to get stuck (again)
Fixed the bug where the harpoon would get destroyed and not respawn (fingers crossed)
Rebalanced pressure so you (probably) can't just ignore it and go all the way to the bottom. You're welcome to try, though.
Made load screens stop sooner (less likely to be stuck in loading hell when playing with people on slower hardware)
Made toilets non-buildable and added a check to remove toilets when loading save games
Fixed the gauges on the engine being left behind when you undock
Fixed an issue where docking couldn't complete, leaving the submarine in limbo
Fixed a bunch of smaller lighting issues in the submarine
Added more collisions to the shipyard
You can no longer fly through the shipyard in the submarine
Submarine now has infinite fuel and oxygen in the shipyard area (only effective post-tutorial)
Items thrown in the water in the shipyard should now come back to you
