Why We’re Falling in Love With the Landscape

When most people think of the Wild West they picture dusty towns, saloons and gun‑fights. In Westlanders we wanted to remind players that the true heart of Wild West is its raw, breathtaking nature – towering cliffs, crystal‑clear waters, endless horizons that seem to stretch forever. A hidden gem in the high country

Imagine climbing a short ridge and finding a silvery curtain of water spilling down jagged granite into a lake so still it reflects the sky like polished glass. Morning mist curls above the surface, catching the first rays of sun and turning the air into a sparkling veil.

The sound is the first thing you notice – a steady roar that carries for hundreds of meters, mingling with the faint call of a distant eagle. As you draw nearer, the spray catches the light, forming tiny rainbows that dance across the water’s edge. Steam post image

The world unfolds at the forest’s rim

Climb a modest rise at the very edge of a dense pine forest and you’ll be greeted by an unobstructed vista that stretches across the entire land.

As the sun dips lower, the horizon glows with molten orange and pink, while the silhouettes of distant wildlife – a lone grizzly, a pack of wolves . The wind rustles the pine needles, creating a soft, rhythmic hush that feels almost sacred. Steam post image

Caves of Promise and Peril

Scattered across the plains, the foothills and the rocky ridges are natural shelters—dark, wind‑carved caves that have been waiting for a brave soul to discover them. At first glance they look like simple overhangs, but step inside and you’ll find walls glittering with veins of copper.

Only those who can outwit the wolves and grizzly will be able to extract the ore and bring it back to camp. Steam post image

In Westlanders, the wilderness is the main character, adorned with wonders such as roaring waterfalls and endless horizons — yet it is also unforgiving. A sudden torrential downpour can turn a peaceful trek into a perilous ordeal; wolves prowl around mineral‑rich caves and will not hesitate to confront intruders.

Exploring this world demands careful preparation. Choose your routes wisely, carry enough supplies, and equip yourself for the dangers ahead, for the very beauty you seek may become your greatest obstacle.
