changedA smaller patch this time with just some fixes and quality of life changes. I've been juggling several things recently but soon should be able to refocus on development. My plan is to release one more QoL patch after this before 0.5.5 which should contain some improvements to the magic and melee systems.
addedNew Stuff================== - RARE and MAGIC enemies have been introduced. Both enemy types drop increased gold. - Magic enemies have slightly increased health & damage and appear with a blue glow - Rare enemies have greatly increased health & damage and appear with a yellow glow - Guns now have a limited supply of ammo, ammo is tracked on a per-weapon basis and starts at the maximum amount - Enemies now have a chance to drop ammo on death, picking one of these up refills a portion of maximum ammo for both equipped guns - Enemy ragdolls are now permanent by default. A slider has been added to add a despawn time if desired - Added some icon indicators for equipped runes in the bottom right weapon display
fixedAdjustments================ - Enemy base health has across the board been reduced to balance out the addition of Magic & Rare modifiers + ammo limitations. - The melee attack animation is now instantly cancelleable into any other action - Fixed behavior of an "X" button in the character select menu to close out just the menu rather than the game. - Adjusted socket points of a few tiles to fix height differences breaking navigation and enemy AI
