Role Changes
Standard
Guard Dog
New
Alpha Wolf
This change aims to add counterplay and visibility to the Alpha Wolf. Currently there is no way to know that a player's faction may have changed until the Alpha Wolf dies, which is often too late.
Conversion now replaces the Werewolf attack instead of being a separate targeted ability.
Conversion no longer requires the player to be Town.
Bard
The bard archetype is a core part of so many fantasy worlds, but for us they are a rarely used hyper-specific mess of a role. This new bard simplifies their abilities so that they can become a staple Town Manipulation role. This initial rework is only the start, as there may be space in the future for the bard to give charges to abilities or resources.
Ultimate removed.
Is now permanently frail.
Now enhances a player each night.
Players cannot be enhanced on consecutive nights.
Chronomancer
Rework
Now speeds up time for a single player during discussion, instead of the entire Town.
Can now speed up time every day.
Speeding up time no longer causes the Chronomancer to perish.
Corrupt Noble
Rework
Bribe now has 1 charge.
Bribe no longer redirects abilities used to the Evil you are meeting with.
Bribe now offers a player the choice to convert a player to Lesser Evil if they accept.
Dragon Knight
Rework
Now has permanent defense.
Now converts to a Lesser Evil if attacked.
No longer ignites players.
Now attacks any players that attack the player he is protecting.
Magus
Removed from the game.
Stone Golem
Adjusted
Now redirects all abilities, instead of just attacks.
Tormentor
Rework
Torment no longer redirects abilities used by a player onto the Tormentor.
If Torment is used on a Town player, it now causes that player's night actions to miss.
If Torment is used on a player that is not Town, it enhances them for the night.
The Blob
Rework
No longer has health as a resource.
Now selects 3 players to be part of the blob at the start of the game, instead of adding players slowly each night.
Now attacks a player each night.
