changedA side quest to unlock more equipment plans didn't make it in time, so I will try to get it in the game before the next player character update. I will continue testing on this version in the beta branch for a bit before updating the current version. Work will continue on the next playable character update later in February. Thanks as always for the bug reports and feedback.

New

  • New "Bellthur" invasion added for Act 2.

  • Hahn the Jeweler can appear in side areas and sell mythic rings.

  • 100 Demon Arm E.D.F. upgrades available in collection.

  • Survivalist class skill is now unlockable. (View collection for key)

  • Combo demonstrations added to combo trials.

  • Ally demon NPCs can appear after the Demons of the Mountain event.

  • Library entry for ground markings added.

  • Various changes to and some new E.D.F. support buffs.

Changes //Guard Damage Overhaul

  • All references to "guard damage" are now changed to "temp damage".

  • Doubled the base recovery speed of temp damage.

  • Various enemy grounded attacks (ie, puddles) now deal temp damage.

  • Initial damage taken from guarding unblockable attacks is now temp damage.

  • DOT and secondary damage from afflictions is now temp damage for players.

//Soul Orb Mechanical Changes

  • Soul orbs are now triggered manually with a guard+weapon input.

  • Soul orbs have their own use meter that builds up on hit like mana.

  • Triggering soul orbs acts as an animation cancel and resets combo.

  • Triggering soul orbs acts as a guard point and can perfect guard.

  • Perfect guard with soul orb trigger recovers some of the orb's charge.

  • Soul orb power boost from affinity increased from 5% to 15% per level.

  • Electric chain soul orb now also reduces def/res of chained targets.

  • Flame orb hit count reduced, but base damage is increased.

  • Healing orb now also casts a column of holy magic around the targets.

//Player Character Changes

  • Gilroy's wingless dragon skill A now grants def on aerial attack.

  • Gilroy's wingless dragon skill C base heal increased from 2 to 5.

  • Irena's charged weapon attacks now partial-reload ammo.

  • Irena's sanctuary now attaches/refreshes a 6-second buff when walked over.

  • Yuichi's note aura durations have been increased by 50%.

  • Yuichi has a new command link into a standing grab after soul snatcher.

  • Yuichi has a new command link into a standing grab after star breaker.

  • Yuichi has a new non-counter command for hawk dive.

  • Yuichi's headbanger skill is also now triggered by hawk dive.

  • Damage taken from Aenir's forlorn is now temp damage equal to 20% of hp.

  • Aenir's suffering skill C now increases temp damage recovery by 100%.

  • Increased mana generated by Aenir's shadow walk (B) skill.

  • Aenir's pain weaver skill D now also adds extra normal combo attacks.

  • Blue has a new rib breaker command normal attack on the ground.

//Equipment Changes

  • Guardian bracer now redirects 10/20/30/40% of damage from allies.

  • Redirected damage from the guardian bracer is now temp damage.

  • Custom combo properties of divine bracer moved into flow by default.

  • Divine bracer has a 10/20/30/40% chance to convert damage to temp damage.

  • Divine bracer mythic skill now reduces temp damage taken by 50%.

  • Soul bracer has 25/50/75/100% chance to grant a shield on mana gain.

//General Changes

  • Players are invulnerable during charged weapon attacks by default now.

  • Increased invulnerability duration when using jump to recover from knockdown.

  • Holding a up or down can now also influence recovery jump angle.

  • Aldaan's transformation is now linked to hp trigger instead of the special meter.

  • Aldaan has a new attack linked to his special meter.

  • Base foreign god influence rate increased on veteran difficulty and above.

  • Removed path restrictions on Sitheil map for previously discovered stages.

  • Decreased the armor break power of item weapons against gods.

  • Soft wall bounces added to help keep the action away from the edges.

  • Difficulty healing modifiers changed from 150/100/75/50% to 125/100/100/75%.

  • Stage retry is removed from Nightmare difficulty. A Vanguard wipe ends the run.

  • Some events now allow you to choose from multiple rewards.

  • Increased the base success chance of the black market event.

  • Soul art attacks now have OTG properties.

  • Mage Class now also increases the crit damage of magic attacks.

  • Warden Class now also grants an additional soul orb use charge.

  • Each level of Dr. Verners' survival training also increases Vanguard base hp.

  • Changed the color of friendly ground areas to differentiate from danger areas.

  • Added yellow danger marking for blockable persistent attacks.

  • Base duration of flow increased to 6 seconds.

  • Flow duration is reduced by 1 second when hit instead of being removed.

  • Boss def/res scaling on nightmare difficulty lowered.

  • Early-stage "Multi-Boss" boss fights are now solo boss fights until Act 2.

  • Grappler Class skills now scale with def.

  • Shatter affliction now also negates special physical and magical resistances.

  • Removed permanent armor reduction from shatter affliction.

  • Increased the chance for thrown objects to inflict shatter.

  • Base duration of freeze affliction increased against enemy targets.

  • Afflictions negating healing by default has been moved to an influence ability.

  • Reduced the area of the Demon Archer's magic puddle trap.

  • Perfect guard destroys satellite spells.

  • Reorganized easy, medium, and hard skill trials.

  • The graphic for Batsoyo's feint attack is more apparent.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug preventing soul eater heal from triggering on rapid kills.

  • Fixed bug where dark element soul orbs didn't receive their affinity bonus.

  • Fixed bug when pressing accept while viewing Influence abilities on the map.

  • Fixed bug that prevented freeze affliction instant death from triggering.

  • Fixed performance issue caused by specific attacks not being cleared.

  • Shock should deal temp damage instead of normal damage to players.
