This update focuses on a comprehensive upgrade to the map's visuals and layering, injecting a sense of depth and immersion into the classic pixel battlefield through the infusion of lighting and particle effects.
changedThe introduction of light and shadow, the dappled sunlight filtering through clouds, the warm glow of torches, the diffuse reflection of smoke… these details will bring every map to life. Day and night lighting changes will directly affect visibility.
changedDuring the development of *Chronicles of Heroes* version 1.20, I attempted to implement dynamic lighting and particle effects in the RPG Maker engine for the first time. This process was both a technical exploration and a creative challenge. The limitations of RPG Maker forced developers to focus more on creative expression than on technical implementation. In *Heroes of the Three Kingdoms*, I proved that even the most basic engine can be revitalized through the skillful use of lighting and particles.

The story of the DLC is getting closer; it will be based on the story of the Eight Generals. Let's look forward to its arrival!

As an independent developer, I thank the players again for their support. From the terrible 1.0 version to now, *Heroes of the Three Kingdoms* has become a textbook example of a "demo" game for RPG Maker. If you're interested in this software, why not give it a try! RPG Maker may just be the starting point, but for creators who love storytelling, it remains an efficient tool for realizing their dreams.
