Wax Heads changes
It’s starting to get VERY exciting inside the Patattie Games studio, as new tantalizing sounds and sights are spinning themselves into the game, ready for your ears and eyes to feast on!
And while I’m sworn to not share anymore details just yet (but I will be sooner than you think) what I can talk to you about is… COMIC CON!!!
Yes, that’s right Wax Head’s creative technical director (and one ½ of Patattie Games punk duo) Rocío Tomé was recently at Malaga Comic Con to talk all things record stores in games.
Rocío rocked the stage in front of a jam-packed audience talking about how in times of over consumption, we opted to develop a curated hand made crafted game that celebrated creativity and the community and identities that connect around that celebration. Needless to say, Rocío killed it.
And that’s not all, situated in Game Plaza in the main hall, our robust Wax Heads demo was showcased to hundreds of guests of all shapes and sizes, including young teens, pensioners, families with small kids and capital G-gamers, all of whom had a go at recommending records.
Most importantly, Rocío hijacked the whole main hall when she played the addictive syrupy song “Unstoppable” by Repeater Records very own biggest pop sensation Mimi (written by our extremely talented composer Gina Loughlin) over the speakers.
(Passersby couldn’t ignore the enchanting, rhythmic bopping!)
It is always an absolute joy and privilege to show Wax Heads to people in person and I know Rocío was blown away by the response from those who came to check it out.
Sure would be fun to have more opportunities to talk about all things Wax Heads… hmm.
(Psst watch this space, but for now… keep on spinning!)
