Friends!

Warface is throwing you a Challenge! Meet the new parallel ranked mode where tactics, weapon control, and teamwork determine the outcome of the battle. The mode is available from April 8 to June 3.

Challenge Mode

Challenge is a parallel ranked mode based on Plant the Bomb and Blitz, where every decision matters. Victory here depends not on reaction speed, but on weapon control, positioning, teamwork, and understanding of distance.

The mode is built around carefully selected weapons and gear that create a more tactical and skill-demanding combat format. Each of the four classes has a distinct role, and class switching is available directly during the match.

Weapons and Gear

A separate arsenal has been prepared for the Challenge mode, unavailable outside of matches. This equipment is not added to your Inventory: you select your loadout on a dedicated screen before the match and use it only within the mode.

Each class has three primary weapon options with different archetypes. Your choice affects your playstyle and optimal combat range.

Rifleman

  • AK-103 — a rifle with a high headshot multiplier, that rewards precise shooting.

  • VHS-2 — a rifle with increased damage and rate of fire. Effective for body shots.

  • Famas F1 — a burst-fire rifle with low recoil. Accurate in short bursts, but with a delay between bursts.

Medic

  • SPAS-12 — a pump-action shotgun. High single-shot damage allows eliminating enemies with one precise shot, but the low rate of fire punishes mistakes.

  • Benelli M4 Classic — a semi-automatic shotgun. Higher rate of fire, but lower single-shot damage.

  • Saiga Spike — a shotgun that fires a slug instead of pellets. Requires precise aiming but is effective at longer distances.

Engineer

  • H&K MP5 — a classic SMG with balanced damage and controllable recoil.

  • Uzi Pro — a high-rate-of-fire SMG with the fastest fire rate in its class. Lower damage per shot but very effective at close range.

  • SIG MPX SBR Custom — a burst-fire SMG with low recoil. Accurate in short bursts, but with a delay between bursts.

Sniper

  • AWM — a bolt-action sniper rifle. Eliminates enemies with one accurate shot at long range.

  • Alpine — a bolt-action sniper rifle with lower range and base damage than the AWM, but higher fire rate and faster aiming speed.

  • SVD — a semi-automatic sniper rifle that allows rapid follow-up shots.

Pistols (available to all classes)

  • MP-443 Grach — a semi-automatic pistol. Moderate damage, high fire rate.

  • Colt Python Elite — a revolver. High damage per shot, but a lower fire rate.

  • TEC-9 — an automatic pistol. Low damage per shot, but the highest fire rate among pistols.

In addition to primary and secondary weapons, each class receives a knife, grenade, Molotov cocktail, smoke grenade, and flash grenade, as well as selected class devices (excluding ammo packs, adrenaline, and motion sensor). Armor and knife are fixed and cannot be changed. Character skins are based on the Exosuits "AOS M2" series.

Class devices have been rebalanced specifically for Challenge mode and cannot be modified. For example, the defibrillator has a shorter activation range and works significantly slower than its standard modded version.

All equipment is selected on a single screen without additional menus or switching to the inventory. All available options are visible at once.

Separate Ranking

Challenge functions as a fully independent ranked mode. It is accessed via a separate button in the main menu. Matchmaking follows the same rules as standard Ranked Matches, but queues do not overlap.

League progression in Challenge is completely separate from the main Ranked mode. Your rank does not carry over — you start from scratch. This gives you the opportunity to climb again and test your skills in a different format.

Season rewards are shared between both modes. Progress your rank in either standard Ranked Matches or Challenge to earn seasonal rewards. Play whichever mode you prefer!

Warface+ weapon progression is also active in Challenge mode.

Additionally, achieving 5 wins in Challenge mode during the season will grant you a unique achievement, awarded after the season ends.

Your Feedback Matters

Challenge mode is an experiment where your feedback directly influences the future of weapon balance in Warface. We want to understand how well a more tactical format focused on weapon control and teamwork resonates with you.

Play, compare it to standard Ranked Matches, and share your impressions — your feedback will shape what comes next.

Jump into Warface and take the Challenge!
