About the Agent

David Rudash was born in Hungary. Before the global crisis, his hometown was an industrial hub where practicality mattered more than ideals. But after the events of Black April, everything fell into decline: factories became shelters for gangs and street kids. The army seemed like a clear and straightforward path, where determination and physical strength were valued — qualities David had in abundance.

Steam post imageHis leadership skills and composure quickly earned him the rank of special forces sergeant. He was given the callsign Owl for his vigilance and his ability to strike at the perfect moment. However, despite his success, military service brought little reward. Soldiers risked their lives on missions, while the credit went to generals far from the front lines.

When a criminal group approached David with an offer, he had no reason to refuse. A shipment of experimental weapons that was meant to be destroyed ended up in criminal hands along with a substantial payment in his pocket.

One deal led to another. David soon realized that his skills were worth far more on the black market than in the army. More importantly, he could now choose when to risk his life... and when to walk away. He left the service, taking the best fighters with him.

He established his base in an abandoned industrial district of his hometown. The mercenaries cleared the area and turned one of the factories into a fortified stronghold. This marked the birth of the Rust Workers, and its members became known as the Workshop crew. Their reputation, combined with the location’s distance from Euroalliance forces, turned it into a major hub of the Eastern European underworld. Eventually, even governments began turning to them for covert operations.

Though he earns well from contracts, he spends little, always preparing for the worst. But when it comes to those he trusts, he is generous because in a world where everyone is ready to turn on each other for money, his squad is the only thing he can rely on.
