Wardens of Wen changes
v0.9.x
The game’s menus and progression screens were extensively refreshed. * Reworked the main menu, Warden select, Upgrades, Stats, Codex, Achievements, and Options screens into a cleaner, more consistent style. * Stats and Talent screens were tightened up to use screen space better and make progression easier to read. * Main menu scaling and multiple layout fixes improved presentation on common resolutions like `1920x1080`.
New Game and menu readability saw a lot of polish. * Warden details, perks, specialties, and difficulty notes now fit more cleanly without awkward clipping or collapse. * The New Game screen behaves more reliably in windowed mode and under heavier text layouts. * Options were reorganized so gameplay/system settings and control remapping are easier to navigate.
General usability and stability improved. * Linux startup was hardened against bad or incomplete packed content. * Startup diagnostics were improved so launch failures are less opaque. * Discord relinking in Options now works more cleanly.
v0.10.x
The full in-match interface was overhauled. * Combat HUD panels were rebuilt into a cleaner, more consistent presentation across resources, minimap framing, wallet, lives, abilities, hotkeys, and held items. * Pause, death, dialogue, recap, shop, inventory, crafting, talent, and board overlays now share the same tighter visual language. * Follow-up polish improved spacing and prevented clipping in key HUD areas like the Trader and ability bar.
v0.11.x
Vault progression was reworked and expanded. * Early permanent upgrades now ramp more smoothly instead of becoming too expensive too quickly. * Lifesteal and Regeneration feel more rewarding thanks to milestone bonuses. * A new Mastery track adds stronger long-term progression for invested profiles. * The old Vault Difficulty upgrade was retired, with existing spending refunded automatically.
Permanent-upgrade readability improved. * Vault preview values now show cleaner percentage readouts instead of harder-to-read multiplier strings.
Resurrection and extra-life rules were cleaned up. * Revives now spend lives correctly and no longer leave Wardens stranded at `0 HP`. * Resurrected Wardens return briefly as invulnerable ghosts, making recoveries clearer and fairer. * Boss-related revive rewards were adjusted to prevent life snowballing in long runs, while preserving intended rewards on major scripted finales.
One major unlock was made more accessible. * Gunther’s Valor now unlocks much earlier.
