Heyo!

We hope you're all super excited for the full release of Walk of Life tomorrow — we certainly are (on top of being anxious, sleep-deprived, and somewhat manic)! In a recent blog, you may have caught a glimpse of an unfamilar location in the new map Chailand. Well, let us tell you all about The Arcade! Steam post image

Does this bring back memories? It sure does for us! Walk of Life is heavily inspired by the 90s, and most of the team spent untold hours of their childhood (and adulthood, for some of us) at the Arcade, trudging through sticky carpeting to sacrifice our meager savings at these digital altars.

The Arcade offers a new way for players to earn score at the end of the game. After purchasing tokens, players may play one of the three available games at the Arcade and are rewarded with a score. If a player ends up with the highest score in that game, they have the High Score, and at the end of the final round each High Score holder is rewarded with actual score.

However, other players may snatch away their position at the top of the leaderboard by getting a better score. We hope that this turns into an armsrace of who's more stubborn and refuses to let go of their rightful position at the top of the pile.

Your average score will get higher the more you play, so please follow in our footsteps and waste your life playing video games. If you want to get a bit of a lead, you can also get a job at the Arcade and benefit from the new job perk: practice gaming skills.

Oh, there's also pizza.Steam post image

We hope the Arcade proves to be a fun addition to the game for all of you. Now we have to get back to it and get everything ready for tomorrow.

We really appreciate all the wonderful Steam Reviews you guys have given us - if you haven't, please consider telling us how you feel about the game!

See you all in Full Release tomorrow!
