addedNow, on to what we're working on. Fishing has been in a pretty sorry state for a while, mostly being picked up for the fishing frenzy event, or by people who just really want to go fishing. We want the system to have a bit more depth to it, so we'll be adding some fun new toys.Steam post image
addedWith the next update, you'll find two new fishing rods available next to the regular one at Moo Moo Mart: The Master Fishing Rod and the Magnet Rod . How exciting! These rods are not only more expensive than the regular fishing rod, but are also not available at the beginning of the game, as they require education to use!
changedBut that's not all, the education isn't available from the get-go either! To access the education, you'll have to do a little bit of fishing to acquire the necessary credentials, as both education paths will require you to fish up specific items before you can start studying.
changedSo is it worth going through all these hoops to get these improved fishing rods? We'd like to think so! The Master Fishing Rod will allow you to fish up Fishing Frenzy fish at any point in the game, even outside the Fishing Frenzy event!
changedFinally, you'll also be able to buy Fish Bait at Moo Moo Mart that consumes after the next fishing action, but will increase your chances of landing rare fish!

The Magnet Rod, however, won't land you any fish, but will dredge up metals and other junk of varying rarity, allowing anybody to become a pseudo-scavenger!Steam post image

Finally, you'll also be able to buy Fish Bait at Moo Moo Mart that consumes after the next fishing action, but will increase your chances of landing rare fish!

We added scoring to Fishing in a recent update, so hopefully all these new toys might open up fun new strategies for you to explore!

While we're on the topic of fishing, we'd reel-y appreciate it if you could drop us a Steam review, as it's super important for smaller developers like us! Thanks, and happy fishing!
