We've got some news, Agents, As you've read, we’ve made the decision to delay the release of Vultures: Scavengers of Death, originally planned for April 28th, to May 13th.
Why this delay?
This decision was made following the implementation of an upgrade system for weapons, a feature requested by many members of our community in the demo feedback during Steam Next Fest. It's not a secret: Resident Evil is one of our main inspiration and the upgrade system would resonate as a great tribute to the saga.
In order to implement it properly and ensure the best possible experience, we need a bit more time than what was originally planned.
We'd rather take the time to do it right than ship something that doesn't meet the standard you deserve. That bit of extra time will make a real difference, and you'll feel it when you play.
A glimpse at this new upgrade system
We wanted to share with you a glimpse at the new market coming with the upgrade system, as well as talking a bit on what it entails.
The new upgrade system was designed with the idea of the Vultures Agents not only being there to solve mysteries, but also using their surroundings in their survival. Just like the animal whose name they bear, our agents will have the possibility of scavenging their environment. In each level, you will be able to find valuables to collect and change in the market these valuables for credits. You can then spend these credits to upgrade your weapons and explore what the market has to offer.
Each new upgrade is therefore an increasing chance of survival against death, exploring your environment might then be a wise idea.
This is a work-in-progress look at the market, images are placeholder and will be changed at release.
Thank you for your understanding, Vultures agents, see you on May 13th.
