Vribyss Refuge™ Metamorphosis changes
To date, this is the biggest update Vribyss Refuge Metamorphosis has ever received! Thank you, players, for your valuable feedback, which helps us to improve the game. Please review the list below to see all the bug fixes and upgrades. As an additional note, ALL updates and bug fixes applied to level 1 Ewharia are also applied to the demo game.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a major bug in Level 1, Ewharia, where if the player visited a "secret location," and the game was restarted or shut down at this point, continuing the game was not possible because the player was unable to leave this area.
Fixed a graphical bug in level 1 (Ewharia) and in level 3 (Truynia) where, once in a while, a visual and audio sound effect could happen repeatedly during a very particular situation.
Story Updates
Added more dialogue during the opening cutscene to make it clear that the Vribyss Starfish has a "bright red glow,"making it easier to follow the story.
Added more dialogue during the opening cutscene to make it clear that the"blue floating light orb" that moves around Ewharia is "Hadar's Guide Light."
Added more dialogue during the conversation with Aliza in Ewharia to explain the "power-ups" (energy pickups that look like lightning) in the world and their benefits. Also updated "Aliza's Tips" and the loading screen tips to reflect this change.
Added"Character Portraits"and"Speaker Boxes"to all NPC dialogue.
Slowed down the speed of Isla's eye blinks by 3x during the opening cutscene so that eye blinks are more noticeable.
Reduced the brightness of the spotlight for all NPCs.
Made improvements to the general story dialogue in levels 1, 2 & 5.
Environmental Updates
In Level 1, Ewharia, added a day/night cycle and random weather effects that change dynamically during gameplay. If the game is restarted in Ewharia, the weather could randomly change to a different season.
In Level 1, Ewharia, added raindrop & snow effects to the screen. This effect can occur particularly when it's raining or snowing, and the particles hit the camera lens at the right angle.
In level 4, Cathuybia, added raindrop effects to the screen. This effect can occur particularly when it's raining, and the particles hit the camera lens at the right angle.
Updated the Vribyss Starfish in all levels so that it no longer resembles an "orange spikey ball."Now, it looks like a starfish and has "a bright red glow" to provide consistency with what the "Story" button describes in the menus.
In response to player feedback, all excess boxes have been removed from areas where boxes are required to be moved around to progress the game. This update makes pushing boxes in these parts of the game more straightforward.
