Since releasing the demo, we have been conducting a major overhaul to strengthen the game's foundation based on the countless feedback you've left us.

We are revealing the key journey ahead, starting with the early update in April, followed by the Steam Next Fest in June, and leading into a large-scale update in the second half of the year.

Phase 1: April, New Diver Early Update

The 4th diver, 'Raven,' will join through the April demo update.

Ahead of the large-scale system update, we want to first collect your feedback on 'the new character's combat mechanics and controls.' We've structured it so you can set aside the complex system changes for now and focus solely on the fun of combat. We plan to recruit playtest participants through our Discord community before the official update.

Phase 2: June, Steam Next Fest Showcase

The June Steam Next Fest build will be the stage that proves how your feedback has transformed the game. We've revised the design and added new features, packing in extensive content and quality-of-life improvements.

  1. The Joy of Management and the Completion of Collection

  • Lounge Management & Interior DesignManagement content will be added where you can place items on shelves, hire clerks to sell relics, and a negotiation system that lets you earn extra profits through dealings with VIP customers. Additionally, an interior design system for expanding and decorating your lounge will be introduced.
  • Log & Encyclopedia SystemA log system that lets you review campaign objectives and dialogue, along with an encyclopedia feature that stimulates your collector's urge and presents clear goals, will be added. Blueprints and notes that have already been registered will be marked as 'Registered'.
  1. Equipment & Combat System Enhancement

  • Equipment/Trait ReworkHigher-grade relics have been adjusted to have higher stats than lower-grade relics whenever possible, and the system has been changed so that equipment has intuitive stats. Additionally, the trait system has been redesigned by increasing the overall number of traits and lowering the threshold, allowing you to frequently upgrade traits after completing a dive.
  • Drop & Crafting BalanceDrop rules by region and difficulty have been reorganized, and the balance of the crafting system has been significantly improved.
  • Training Room Added: A space where you can freely experiment in the lounge will be provided.

  1. Quality of Life (QoL) & Control Improvements

  • Input & ControlsOfficial gamepad support and key mapping will be added. Auto-fire for basic attacks, sprint toggle/hold settings will be added, and a weapon swap feature to increase combat tempo will be introduced.
  • Inventory Streamlining: A 'Stash All' button to batch-transfer items already in your storage, as well as a split-stack feature, will be supported.

  • Multiplayer CommunicationA marker system that persists during dives on the full minimap will be added, and a ping (Ping/RTT, Jitter, Loss) display showing network status during co-op play will be provided.
  • Other: We are preparing various quality-of-life features including multiple save slot support, a character skin system, and more.

  1. New Bosses Added

  • Phase 2 will be added to Soul Collector and Eldris, and powerful new bosses will be introduced alongside the Chapter 2 story campaign to threaten you.

Phase 3: Second Half of 2026, Diving into the Endless Abyss

After successfully validating the game's foundation at Next Fest, a massive update awaits in the second half of the year, where the world of 'Void Diver: Escape from the Abyss' will truly begin to expand.

  • New Divers JoiningCharming new characters will continue to join the roster.
  • Diver-Exclusive TraitsDiver-specific exclusive traits that allow diverse variations of unique skills will be added.
  • Deeper into the Dungeon, New Chapters UnlockedNew regions and stories will open up, and enemies with new gimmicks that threaten divers will appear.
  • New Equipment and RelicsEquipment and relics with new abilities can be obtained.
  • Demo Player Dedication Rewards: We are preparing rewards for demo players who have helped pioneer this journey with us.

Endless Refinement, and Next Fest

A message to all the Managers around the world who support us. The NEMO STUDIO development team is focusing all development efforts with the top priority of delivering 'Void Diver' to the world as a highly polished game. Our vision for the complete form of 'VOID DIVER' is'A total of 5 chapters (complete story)', '7 or more playable divers', and a state where all endgame content related to equipment farming is fully implemented. As we march toward this clear ultimate goal, the upcoming June 'Steam Next Fest'will be the most important mid-point checkpoint stage that proves how earnestly we are refining this game.

The specific plans for the second half following Next Fest (release and test schedules) will be finalized based on the valuable feedback and data you provide during Next Fest, and we will announce them at a later date.

The early playtest for the upcoming April new diver 'Raven' will begin recruitment first on our official Discord.
