New Gameplay Teaser & Development Update ๐ŸŒฑ

Hello everyone!

Our latest gameplay teaser is now live and received a significant update as part of our recent Steam page overhaul.

The teaser showcases several systems we've been building over the last months, including:

  • Plant growth and death

  • Environmental interaction through events

  • Plant rigging and wind animation

  • Day/night transitions and time control

  • Skill trees and active abilities

  • New music and sound effects

One of the biggest additions is the first integration of music by our Sound Composer Alex and sound design by our Sound Designer Mayu. Together, they help bring VIVID's atmosphere much closer to the experience we ultimately want to create.

While many visuals and systems are still work in progress, we're excited to see how VIVID is gradually evolving into the game we originally envisioned when writing the first design documents.

Our next major milestone will be an internal playtest build by the end of June.

What's Next?

We're currently working on:

  • Finalizing dandelion flower and stem animations

  • Gameplay functionality and balancing

  • Additional ambient sounds and music

  • Event systems and environmental challenges

  • Preparations for gamescom 2026

This August, VIVID will be publicly playable for the very first time.

We'll be exhibiting both at the Indie Castle in the Entertainment Area and at the Saxony joint booth in the Business Area. We're incredibly excited to finally watch players interact with the game and gather your feedback.
