changedThis update includes the much anticipate first tool upgrade, with the rusty watering can moving to copper so you can water more than one garden square at a time. Because life's too short, and anyway, isn't most of the world in a drought? We gotta get this done!
addedWe've also cleaned up functional bugs in the garden, UI, and weather, and tweaked minor features and NPC schedules, plus added a new quest from Witch Vee where the PC grows a random bag of mystery pepper seeds to see what they get. The magic of the island gets bored and needs to have some random odds to toy with--otherwise it gets into trouble. Our mystery pepper colors were meant to be a minor thing but--like Batwing's magic and like Villainville itself--they took on a life of their own. There are two you can't get without using the mystery bags. Let us know which is your favorite color--the devs are divided! Steam post imageFinally--these are the last weeks the playtest will be open! We've debated and circled around the question of when to close the playtest because we LOVE getting feedback and knowing players are having fun. But it's got to be done. You can enjoy the playtest until the end of July--this month--and then the playtest will close as we make ready our demo and dive deeper into updates that need a full mechanics stop. While not guaranteed, we will likely have an open playtest again at a later date. Please pop into the discord to let us know you'd like to be included and so you'll hear when/if we reopen. And keep the feedback coming, please! We know there are lots of you that we haven't heard from yet and we want to know your thoughts! Plus--if you give us a nice blurb about how fun Villainville is you'll be immortalized on our Steam page and who doesn't want that? General Feedback Form
