Very Disco, Disco Very! changes
Mark the date: on July 7, the open demo for Very Disco, Disco Very! goes live for everyone, no key required.
For anyone new here (the 99%, thnx to great solo marketing & making a very niche game): This is a board-game-style party brawler with a disco twist. You plan your moves, play cards, shove other players into trouble, and try to keep your footing while the floor lights up around you.
A few things I cannot wait to put in your hands on the 7th:
Cross-platform multiplayer across Windows, Mac, and Linux, all in the same lobby together. If a friend is on a different machine, it just works.
It also runs in PCVR if that is your thing, with the flatscreen experience fully intact for everyone else.
Built-in voice chat so the table talk and the betrayals happen in real time.
A character customizer with body colors and a per-slot tattoo canvas, so you can show up as exactly the kind of menace you want to be.
A board that reacts to the music, because a disco game should look like one.
The demo is the opening act. It covers the core game and stops right at the doorway to what comes next, so you get a complete taste without spoilers for the later phases.
A small personal note: this is my first project in Godot, made solo, which means every bug in it is one hundred percent my fault and so is every part you end up liking. It has been through rigorous testing with a few poor souls who deserve medals, so it should hold together. I am genuinely excited and mildly terrified to hand it over.
If this sounds like your kind of chaos, add Very Disco Disco Very to your wishlist now and you will get notified the moment the demo unlocks on 7-7. You can also follow me as a developer on Steam to keep up with updates between now and launch. Bring a friend, and once you play, tell me what you loved and what you would change. It is a solo project, so your feedback genuinely steers the ship.
See you on the dance floor, July 7.
