Repeated intro

Hello friends! 💜

What changed

0 fixes4 additions2 changes0 removals
  • UI and audio
  • Gameplay
  • Store
  • Performance
addedWhile some of us have been working on the aforementioned "Secret Stuff", the rest of the team continued working on refining the world design, adding elements and some UI tweaks, and cooperating with programmers on fixing some Unity-related issues. On the bright side, I personally finished writing the dialogue lines for the main quests of the game. There's still a ton to go and I'm sure that I'll have to fix the same amount after initial proofreading, but it's a huge task that we can finally tick off the list!
addedOh by the way, here's a sneak-peek of our new night scene!
addedFirst of all, Grandpa finally received his new puppet with some brand new animations, which will help in characterizing him during certain dialogues and situations (although deep down we all know that Grandpa is such a chad that he doesn't even need them) .
changedApart from this, a couple of minor changes have been made to the control room of the second puzzle (shown in the last devlog) and in the Art Shop.
addedGood news from our programmers too! Now we like our water shader, we really do, but sometimes we can't help but comparing it to other games with a heavy presence of water like Sea of Solitude (Jeez that game has some nice water), so we decided to give our own spin to it and created our new shader, a nice touch of realism whilst remaining faithful to our style. Other than this great accomplishment, they continue to further optimize the game. "Now with 100% more waves"
changedAnd this sums up October. We got something big in store that we can't still show you (sorry), but we assure you that your patience will be well rewarded. With this said, thank you for playing our demo and for sticking with us, see you next month!!

Speaking of treats, we got some real ones for you in this devlog, so without further ado let's get into the content.

(also we're re working on something veeeery important, expect news in the coming weeks 👀)

DESIGN & STUFF

While some of us have been working on the aforementioned "Secret Stuff", the rest of the team continued working on refining the world design, adding elements and some UI tweaks, and cooperating with programmers on fixing some Unity-related issues. On the bright side, I personally finished writing the dialogue lines for the main quests of the game. There's still a ton to go and I'm sure that I'll have to fix the same amount after initial proofreading, but it's a huge task that we can finally tick off the list!

Oh by the way, here's a sneak-peek of our new night scene!

(very much still in progress and without proper lighting)

2D ART & STUFF

First of all, Grandpa finally received his new puppet with some brand new animations, which will help in characterizing him during certain dialogues and situations (although deep down we all know that Grandpa is such a chad that he doesn't even need them).

"Which Grandpa do you feel like today?"

Apart from this, a couple of minor changes have been made to the control room of the second puzzle (shown in the last devlog) and in the Art Shop.

3D ART & STUFF

PIPES!

That's right people, the real deal of October was the creation of these steampunk-looking tubes for us designer to fill the game world with, with the intention of making it feel a little more lived in.

"Inb4 we actually create a Super Mario level with all these pipes"

PROGRAMMING & STUFF

Good news from our programmers too! Other than this great accomplishment, they continue to further optimize the game."Now with 100% more waves"

And this sums up October. We got something big in store that we can't still show you (sorry), but we assure you that your patience will be well rewarded. With this said, thank you for playing our demo and for sticking with us, see you next month!!

What, still here? ...Fine, I guess we can show you something
