Version 2.1.0 — The Codex Update

This update introduces the Codex, expanded graphics settings, performance improvements, and significant combat balancing.

The Codex

  • Collect 70 unique Tomes across 14 enemy families on Damned difficulty.

  • Combine five Tome volumes to craft powerful Compendiums.

  • Each Compendium grants a unique passive bonus and additional score.

  • Complete the collection to craft the Black Encyclopedia of the Damned.

  • Sacrifice additional Compendiums for permanent score bonuses.

Graphics and Performance

  • Added Low, Balanced, and High graphics presets.

  • Added individual controls for FPS, render scale, texture quality, combat effects, projectile trails, enemy outlines, environmental detail, particles, and HUD refresh rate.

  • Added internal resolution scaling to improve performance on slower devices.

  • Added optimized gameplay textures and caching.

  • Improved performance during large encounters.

Balance Changes

  • Increased Chain Frost’s damage and projectile speed.

  • Reduced Ballista Shot’s damage.

  • Reduced Fire Siphon’s base damage.

  • Shuriken Attack now damages the first enemy hit instead of piercing.

  • Increased Vortex pull range and strength.

  • Improved knockback behavior for mines and slash abilities.

  • Enemy hits can no longer deal more than 90% of the hero’s maximum health in a single hit.

  • Overkill damage no longer provides additional lifesteal, reflected damage, score, or damage-stat credit.

  • Improved consistency across physical, magical, and pure damage calculations.

Additional Improvements

  • Hero level is now displayed on the main menu.

  • Improved boss and treasure-chest indicators.

  • Fixed score multiplier calculations.

  • Fixed ability radius scaling and several combat interactions.

  • Various stability, platform, interface, and visual fixes.
