How have you all been?
Summer is already approaching. We are currently pouring all of our passion into development to further improve the quality of VELASTER.
This past May, we participated in the Kyoto Indie Game Show / BitSummit, where players had the chance to try out the version we are currently improving. Many people enjoyed playing VELASTER at the event, and we were also able to receive a wide range of feedback.
Today, we would like to share some of the major changes we are currently working on.
Map System Introduction
Many players have told us that they would like to see a map system in VELASTER.
Unlike a typical side-scrolling game, VELASTER is not structured around simply moving left and right. There are many sections where players also explore along the Z-axis. In addition, some areas have three-dimensional structures that can feel like a maze, so we felt that the traditional 2D map style commonly used in side-scrolling games would not be enough to properly represent the structure of the game.
After much discussion and testing, we decided to develop a 3D map system suited to the structure of VELASTER.
It is still in development, but we are continuing to improve it so that players can more intuitively understand their current location and movement routes.
UI Improvements and New Weapon System Development

We are also improving the UI, while developing main weapon and sub-weapon systems to further expand the fun of combat.
Players will now be able to obtain and switch between various weapons through combat and exploration.
Each weapon also has different characteristics and skills, allowing players to choose from a variety of combat styles depending on their playstyle.
This time, we are revealing only part of the content first. As development progresses, we will introduce more weapons and systems in greater detail.
Kyoto Indie Game Show / BitSummit Participation
Lastly, we would also like to share some photos from our booth in Kyoto this past May.
Many people at the event enjoyed playing VELASTER.
We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to play the game and share their valuable feedback with us.
We will continue to share more detailed development updates and new elements with you soon.
We are doing our best to make VELASTER an even more enjoyable game.
If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to let us know. We will respond as soon as we can.
Thank you, as always, for your support.
We hope you all have a wonderful day!
