The Demo Is Back, and It’s Reborn ✨

After a few quiet months, I’m incredibly happy (and honestly a little emotional) to say this:

A brand-new demo of Veils of the Past is now live.

Not an update. Not a quick refresh. A total relaunch, rebuilt from the ground up to give you a truer taste of what the full game is meant to be.

Over the past months, I’ve been obsessing over the experience: the tone, the pacing, the atmosphere, and how every scene lands emotionally. It became clear that the old demo didn’t meet the new standard. So I went back to the drawing board… and now it’s finally ready.

Veils of the Past is a mature, atmosphere-heavy mystery visual novel with romance, where your choices don’t just change scenes, they change who people are.

What You’ll Notice Right Away

• Brand-new and updated images and completely reworked scenes

• A new ending scene that hits closer to the heart of the story

• Updated music and sound design throughout

🎧 Pro tip: Play with sound on; a lot of the tension, emotion, and quiet moments live in the music and sound design.

A Localization Relaunch (Turkish now included!)

I’m also excited to announce that the demo now includes Turkish. Beyond that, every existing localization has been entirely rewritten. The goal was simple: to make each language feel like an original version, not a translation.

The demo is now available in: English, French, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin American Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Turkish.

Important Change: From “Adult” to “Mature”

I’ve decided to change the game’s category from Adult to Mature.

Romance remains a core pillar of Veils of the Past, but the full story is so much more than that — it’s a careful mix of suspense, emotion, atmosphere, and intimacy. The “Adult” label was simply too narrow for the story I’m telling.

To be crystal clear: the full game will not be explicit, but it will absolutely be intense; narratively and emotionally.

This Is Just the Beginning

This demo shows you the core flavor of the experience: the tension, the warmth, the ache, the mystery. In the full game, we go much deeper.

There will be multiple major story paths that are fully independent — with no overlap — and characters can take very different roles depending on your decisions. Your choices won’t just change a few lines of dialogue; they’ll shape the entire reality you uncover.
