From Poland with Love

Well met, Kindred.

From Poland with Love has opened on Steam, and Oaths & Ashes is part of the lineup. The event is organised by Untold Tales and runs until August 3rd, putting a week's spotlight on games made in Poland. That is us. Revive the Spark is a small studio from Poland, and Vampire: The Masquerade - Oaths & Ashes is our narrative game set in a present-night Berlin that has stopped answering to anyone.

Two protagonists carry it. Alice Lytelton, a Ventrue operative sent into the city with a Justicar's authority. Lenz, a Thinblood alchemist surviving its underside. One city, two very different ways to fall through it.

This week is not only about us. From Poland with Love brings together a whole lineup of games made in Poland. First, a thank you: everyone who played the demo at the last Steam Next Fest and took the time to tell us what worked and what did not, this update exists because of you. Your testing let us make the game better for the people who will play it next, and that is you too.

Here is what changed:

• We rewrote the story in response to your feedback.

• Reworked the controls. You can now use the arrow keys to move between dialogue options and Space to confirm a choice, and Space also advances the scene when there is no choice to make.

• Improved the audio. Music, ambience and sound effects now play and trigger the way they should.

• Journal upgrades. We fixed existing entries and added new ones.

• A new rendering system. The game runs more smoothly, and we added animated character portraits.

• A dedicated Linux build.

And the best part: you can still play the Prologue, now new and improved. It is free, it runs about two hours, and it begins in Paris at the Opéra Garnier with a hunt for a Toreador who walked away from the Camarilla.
