Vampire: The Masquerade - Oaths & Ashes changes
Kindred,
The wait is over. The demo for Vampire: The Masquerade - Oaths & Ashes is available right now, and the new trailer just dropped. Berlin has lost its Prince, the Camarilla is in retreat, and the Anarchs are tearing the wreckage apart. Time to find out where you stand.
Around two hours of gameplay. The story opens at the opera, where Alice - a disciplined operative - is sent to capture a Kindred who has publicly betrayed the Camarilla. What begins as a clean assignment turns into something far less clean, and by the end of the night Alice's orders point her somewhere new: Berlin. Where the story takes her from there is for you to discover when the full game arrives.
The demo is your first taste of both sides of Oaths & Ashes:
Storytelling - dialogue as the battlefield, choices that reveal who Alice is and ripple into what comes next, and an investigation you can genuinely fail.
The systems - manage your Hunger, hold back the Beast, keep the Masquerade, and choose your moments to unleash Ventrue Disciplines when a night turns violent. Steam post image
Newcomer-friendly by design - Alice's Journal gathers clans, Disciplines and Kindred politics into a glossary, so first-timers never feel locked out while veterans can skip straight ahead.
It's a slice meant to pull you in and leave you hungry - for the rest of the story, and for blood. Lenz, the game's second protagonist, isn't part of this demo; how his path crosses Alice's is something we're saving for the full game. The new trailer is up - and we genuinely want to hear from you.
What did you think? Did it land?
What stood out, what hooked you, what do you want to see more of?
And keep your eyes open: there are a few details tucked into the trailer for those paying attention. Did you catch anything interesting? Tell us in the comments - we're reading every one. Steam post image
A NOTE ON LANGUAGE
Quick heads-up: the demo and the full game are in English only. You may notice our Steam page is available in several languages - that's there so players around the world can read about Oaths & Ashes and decide if it's for them, but the game itself isn't localized (yet). More languages are something we're considering down the line - and your wishlists and feedback help us figure out where the demand is.
Wishlists are how a game like ours gets seen. If the demo or the trailer made you curious, hitting that button is the best way to make sure Oaths & Ashes reaches the launch it deserves - and to be first in line when the full game arrives in 2026.
