Skål, Vikings!

A new patch has just dropped! While we're deep in the forge hammering out our next content update, today we're rolling out a patch focused on some of the requested co-op features and survival tweaks.

Here's what's in today's patch:

Direct Invite & Join

Grouping up with your friends in co-op is now possible with a simple Steam invite right from the pause menu.

(Note: You'll need to select a character first to accept an invite).

Friend Location Markers

Never lose your shield-brothers and sisters again. You can now track your friends' locations on your compass.

Refined Damage HUD

We know the damage HUD (blood over the screen) was irritating for many, often appearing too early and becoming distracting. We've addressed those problems with an upgraded HUD, and it feels much better now.

Other Co-op & Survival Improvements

Wood now burns twice as long.

Slowed down the hunger and thirst drain rates.

Slightly increased torch brightness and radius to help you navigate the dark. (Note: We'll be doing a proper adjustment to the overall nighttime darkness in our next patches).

Added co-op server notifications for when players join or leave the session.

Fixed a bug where set respawn points weren't displaying correctly for co-op client players.

Fixed an issue causing old death markers to not disappear for clients.

Fixed a UI bug where animals were displaying titles.

Also, here's a little sneak peek at something coming in the next update...

May the gods favor your blades! Thank you for your continued support and for sharing your feedback with us.

Skål!
