Hi space scouts 🪐👾
I have no idea how to introduce this month's dev log 🫠 so let's just jump right in:
After so many people asked for it, we've finally started working on boss-encounters ️👀 this will definitely take a whiiiiile but stay tuned!
Many of our menu's and UI's are slowly being updated and beauty-fied. I would have never imagined UI turning out to be this time consuming (especially if you want cool animations everywhere) but I think it'll be worth it in the end ✨
We've added a minimap with cute icons for (almost) everything! It's still a work in progress but here's an example:

We're adding bonus objectives you can complete during a run that give you stars to buy upgrades in our new meta-progression system
Input (especially with different controllers) is still giving us a lot of trouble but we won't stop until everything works smoothly
A new enemy type is almost finished. I'm thinking of making a seperate post to introduce our enemies 🤔 let me know if you'd like to see that!
We added more visual effects so every ability feels and looks amazing 💅
We've been super busy with updating our roadmap, other project management stuff and looking for and applying to more funding. Game development isn't just working on the game sadly ;-;
We had a great time at Baltic Game Fest in Neumünster Germany! Thanks for everyone who visited us and played Vacunauts 🧡
