We have some news to share: Under the Heavens will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in May 2026.

Under the Heavens is a choice-driven narrative RPG set during China’s Warring States period. You begin as a nameless soldier and rise through the ranks, building your own unit, recruiting officers, and making decisions with permanent consequences.

Every battle, promotion, and loss shapes the kind of commander you become.

Why Kickstarter?

Development of Under the Heavens has been self-funded through pre-production. The core narrative systems, officer management mechanics, and roll-based resolution framework are already designed and tested.

To deliver the experience at the quality it deserves, we need additional support to complete production with professional art, music, and full Unity implementation.

We’re not asking you to fund an idea. The foundation is already built. Kickstarter is how we take it the rest of the way.

Try the Demo First

Before the campaign launches, we’ll be releasing a free playable demo on Steam in April 2026.

The demo opens with your character’s first days as a nameless recruit: early training, your first battlefield command, and the process of recruiting and managing your first officers.

You’ll get a feel for how the roll-based resolution system works and what it means when a decision follows you.

It’s your first step from nameless recruit to future general.
